What does the shipping fee cover?
A puppy shipping service specialist will take care of your puppy from the time we pick them up from their birth home until the time they arrive at the departing airport.
Your pooch will be provided with a brand new puppy carrier with some absorbent material to provide comfort for the puppy, and a small food and water dish.
The pet carriers used are airline approved kennels.
What do I need to know?
Please click below to contact our shipping team once you have found the puppy of your dreams from one of our reputable breeders.
(Please do not make payment for the puppy to the breeder until it is verified we can ship to your location.)
Pet travel is completely different from passenger travel.
Pet travel is not possible at all airports. Please provide at least two international airports closest to you for the fastest turnaround.
There may be additional fees for breeders outside of our service area
Any day or overnight kenneling expenses owed because of flight delays or cancellations will be the responsibility of the individual picking the puppy up.
Payment for the puppy and payment for shipping are two separate transactions.
We do not accept payments for puppies.
It can take up to 7-10 days from the time payment is received and cleared to the breeder to receive your puppy.
Valid Photo ID is required for pet shipping.
From May to September, temperatures are HOT. Please verify shipping availability to your location prior to purchasing your puppy from one of our breeders.
In order to ship a puppy to your location, the temperature will need to be below 85 degrees at the time of puppy departure, any connections, and arrival.
We will work with you to secure the first date that meets these criteria and appreciate your understanding.
From December to March, temperatures are cold and the weather can be a concern, therefore delays in puppy shipments are fairly common.
Please keep in mind our number one priority is the safe arrival of your puppy.
Currently, our shipping services are available for most puppies located in PA. Please consult with our shipping department prior to purchasing a puppy for shipping.
Due to current Airline restrictions, some snub-nosed breeds (Some examples: Mastiff Breeds, Shih Tzu, Pugs, Bulldogs) may not be able to be flown.
Please check with the GFP shipping team before making a deposit on a puppy if you think they may be snub-nosed and a flight is required.
Due to heat/cold and extremely limited flight availability at many major airports, the wait time may be extended to receive your pup

Preparing for Puppy Shipping
Health Check: Ensure that your puppy has undergone a thorough health examination by a veterinarian before shipping. This check should include vaccinations against common canine diseases such as parvovirus and distemper.
Microchipping: Consider microchipping your puppy prior to shipment. This provides an additional layer of security in case your pet gets lost during transit.
Shipping Crate: Invest in an airline-approved crate that is appropriate for your puppy’s size. The crate should be well-ventilated and spacious enough for your Cane Corso to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably.
Familiarization: Allow your puppy to become familiar with the crate before shipping day. This can help reduce anxiety during travel.
Documentation: Gather all necessary paperwork required for transportation, including vaccination records and any health certificates mandated by airlines or transport companies.
Methods of Puppy Shipping
There are two primary methods for transporting puppies: ground transportation and air travel.
Ground Transportation
Ground transportation can be an excellent option if you live relatively close to the breeder or if you prefer not to subject your puppy to air travel’s stresses. Many breeders offer delivery services or partner with professional pet transport companies that specialize in safe ground transport.
When choosing ground transportation:
- Ensure that the transport company has experience handling puppies.
- Confirm that they adhere to safety regulations regarding animal transport.
- Ask about their protocols for regular breaks during long journeys so that puppies can stretch their legs and relieve themselves.
Air Travel
Air travel may be necessary if you are located far from the breeder or if you are importing a Cane Corso from another country. While flying can be stressful for pets, proper preparation can mitigate many risks associated with air travel.
Here’s what you need to know about air travel:
Airline Policies: Different airlines have varying policies regarding pet transport; some allow pets in-cabin while others require them to fly as cargo. Research each airline’s specific requirements before booking flights.
Temperature Regulations: Airlines have strict temperature regulations concerning when they will accept pets as cargo due to safety concerns related to extreme weather conditions (both hot and cold). Be sure to check these regulations when planning your shipment date.
Direct Flights: Whenever possible, book direct flights rather than connecting ones; this reduces stress on both you and your puppy by minimizing layover times where they could be left unattended or exposed unnecessarily.
Arrival Preparation: Prepare yourself for receiving your Cane Corso at its destination airport by knowing where designated pet pick-up areas are located within terminals ahead of time!
Post-Arrival Care
Once your Cane Corso arrives at its new home, it’s essential to provide proper care immediately following its arrival:
Comfortable Environment: Create a welcoming space where your new pup feels secure—this includes providing bedding, toys, food/water bowls & access outside for bathroom breaks!
Veterinary Visit: Schedule an appointment with a veterinarian shortly after arrival; this ensures ongoing health monitoring & establishes care routines tailored specifically towards growing puppies like yours!
Socialization & Training: Begin socializing & training early! Introduce them gradually into different environments while reinforcing positive behaviors through consistent training techniques suited specifically toward large breeds like Corsos!
4 . Nutrition Needs : Consult with professionals regarding dietary requirements based on age/size/health status—Cane Corsos thrive best on high-quality diets formulated specifically designed around large breed growth stages!
5 . Patience Is Key : Remember patience is key when acclimating any young animal into their new surroundings; give them time adjust without overwhelming them too quickly!
